About Me
I have been extremely blessed to attend Oakland University for my college career, and been a part of Alpha Delta Pi sorority for those four years. This project is about the heartbreaking outcome of the Coronavirus outbreak in 2020 and how it has affected a group of graduating seniors from Oakland University, who feel deprived of closure to their college years. In the photos you will see the day-to-day life in quarantine, the new reality of remote learning, cycles of anxiety and boredom, and girls packing up their bedrooms in a house they will never see again. Five of the seven young women living in the house are seniors and have lived in the house for several years of college. With the outbreak, University Housing has closed all residency and has forced these seniors to hyper speed the ending of their college careers. I hope the story is an example of what all college students are going through and the emotional attachment to college that we all hold dear in our hearts as the world feels flipped upside down. This story is extremely personal to me, as I am a senior experiencing it myself and watching the end of my college career fade away.
